The Shire of Dun in Mara presents Pen & Sword II, a one-day event on the 12th of January 2013.
Make the best of the New Year, and get back to the Known Worlde after the holiday season!
We will have Period Fencing in the morning, Armoured Combat in the afternoon, and Arts & Sciences throughout the day!
For the archers, Pen & Sword will also feature Dave ‘Mircat’ Hodson, who will demonstrate and teach traditional archery, and bring along a range of his handmade bows and arrows (which are made to order). You can see more of his wares at his Facebook page.
Event Site: Mary Queen of Ireland National School, Toberburr, St. Margarets, Co. Dublin.
Site opens: 10AM, site closes: 9PM. Site is strictly dry (no alcohol allowed on the premises).
Payment information: The site fee for the day is €20 (£16), which includes lunch and and feast. Please make cheques payable to “SCA Dun in Mara”.
Cost without food (adult): €15
Children under 6: Free
Children 6-13: Half price
Children 14+: Full price
