Cruinniú postponed
We are deeply sorry to announce that Cruinniú will be postponed due to the COVID-19 situation. Given the extraordinary measures being taken by countries across Europe and North America, and to protect our families, friends, and all other people in our society (and Society), we have unfortunately had to make the very difficult decision to postpone Cruinniú to a later stage in the year.
Practices cancelled until late March
The closure of schools and public institutions from today has affected most of the venues we use for our fighting, fencing, archery and A&S practices. We will therefore cancel all practices for two weeks: from today, 12 March 2020, until 27 March 2020. We will continue to review this in line with Irish government advice over the coming period. Please check back at this website for up to date information.
Thursday fighter practices
Following the announcement by the Taoiseach regarding closure of schools and public institutions, Thursday fighter practices at Synge St school are cancelled inclusive of tonight until schools are open again.
Words on fighting from Duke Sean
For Cruinniú, we will feature a series of short posts from fighters around the Kingdom about what inspired them to fight, or things they’ve learned about armoured combat. This post is from our visiting teacher, Duke Sean Kirkpatrick Tarragon.
Booking your travel
Cruinniú is now a little over two months away. If you’re planning to fly to Ireland for the event, we find that this is usually a opportune time to start finding good value flights. Dublin Airport is very well served by a variety of low cost airlines with flights all over Europe.
