To arms once again! Your armoured sisters and brothers of Lough Devnaree invite you to celebrate the return of Spring by engaging in acts of tournament and war. A weekend all aspects of armoured combat, supported by the usual hearty hospitality of Dun In Mara & friends. Fighting is one of our passions in Lough Devnaree and we warmly welcome all from outside the island who would wish to come cross swords with us.

Joining is entirely optional - you are welcome to all our events and practices regardless of whether you’re a member. Members get discounts at our practices, and help support our activities throughout Ireland and the UK.
Armoured fighting - now with melee practices

Welcome back to another year of fighting fun. We are restarting on Thursday 9 January, at 19:00, at Bunscoil Sancta Maria, Synge Street, Dublin 2. If you have ever been interested in taking up armoured fighting or having a go, now is a fantastic time to come over and see if our sport might be for you. Your first time is free, afterwards we charge €10 per practice for non-members, €8 for members and €6 for unwaged.More info...
When was Christmas celebrated?

Even today, Christmas is celebrated on different dates. Eg in Ireland we have Christmas dinner and present giving on the 25th of December; in many other European countries, Christmas Eve or Epiphany (6th of January) is the important day. And some Orthodox churches celebrate according to the Julian calendar, so in our January.More info...
